Save scraper
Store cookies to keep you signed in when this scraper runs in the cloud.
Credentials
Add credentialCookie sign-in
Save the cookies from the browser you are already signed in on. No password changes hands.
Encrypted credentials
A saved password is encrypted, stored securely and not visible to Simplescraper.
When to use cookies or a saved login
Start with cookies, which share no password. Switch to a saved login when cookies expire too quickly, or when the site does not use cookies to keep you signed in.
| Cookies | Saved login | |
|---|---|---|
| Your password is shared | No. Only your signed-in session is saved | Yes, encrypted and not visible to Simplescraper |
| Lasts | Until the site expires them, usually days to weeks | Until you change the password |
| Best for | Sites with two-step sign-in | Long-running schedules |
Some sites do not use cookies for sign-in. For those, a saved login is the way in.

Run the scraper anywhere
Run it now, on a schedule or from the API. Simplescraper signs in on your behalf.
FAQ
How do I scrape password-protected websites?
Two easy methods: 1) Save your username/password in our encrypted credentials manager - works across all scrapers for that site, or 2) Use the cookie method - save your cookies from our Chrome extension while logged in.
Which method is better - credentials or cookies?
Cookies are usually easier and more secure (no password sharing), but they can expire. Credentials last forever but require sharing your password (encrypted). For sites with 2FA or extra security, we recommend cookies. For long-term automated scraping, credentials work better.
Is my login information secure?
Yes. Your password is encrypted, securely stored and not visible to Simplescraper. With the cookie method, we never even see your password - just your browsing session after you've logged in.
What if my login stops working?
Cookies expire based on the website's settings (usually days to weeks). When they expire, just grab fresh cookies from your browser. For credentials, update the password in the Credentials Manager whenever you change it on the site.
Which websites can I scrape behind login?
Most password-protected sites work including business tools, member-only areas, and private dashboards. Sites with complex captchas may need additional setup.
